This policy explains how Zazu (“Zazu”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data when you visit our website or engage us for services. We are based in Cairo, Egypt and handle personal data in line with Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 (PDPL).
1. Who we are

- Basic technical data generated when you visit the site, such as server logs containing IP address, browser type, and pages requested, kept for security and reliability.
3. What we do not collect
Our public website is a static site. It does not use advertising trackers, behavioural profiling cookies, or sell your data to third parties. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy and use privacy-respecting settings.
4. How we use your data
- To respond to enquiries and prepare quotations.
- To provide, maintain, and support the services you engage us for.
- To issue invoices and meet Egyptian accounting and tax obligations.
- To secure our systems and prevent misuse.
- To send service-related updates about an active project.
5. Legal basis
Depending on the context, we process personal data based on your consent, the performance of a contract with you, our legal obligations (for example, tax and accounting), or our legitimate interest in operating and securing our business.
6. Sharing and third parties
We do not sell or rent personal data. We may share it with trusted processors who help us operate, such as cloud hosting providers, email providers, and payment or accounting services, and only to the extent needed to provide their service. We may also disclose data where required by Egyptian law or a competent authority.
7. International transfers
Some of our service providers may store data outside Egypt. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place and that data receives a comparable level of protection.
8. Data retention
We keep enquiry data for up to 24 months, project and billing records for the period required by Egyptian tax and accounting law (generally 5 years), and server logs for up to 12 months. After these periods, data is deleted or anonymised.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent at any time. To exercise a right, email info@zazu-app.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by law.
10. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and least-privilege access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
Our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
